Access Control:

  1. Access control depends upon the type of access we have provided to the user. There are 2 types of access, i.e. Web Access and App Access.
  2. For app usage, we can provide access of any level, but for web-based access we can provide access at National, State, Zila and Mandal levels.
  3. For creating web-based access, we will require an e-mail as well for creating an ID apart from other details. While mail id is not required for app-based access.
  4. Web id can be used only on web portal, i.e. saral.bjp.org, but app id can be used on app and web portal as well.
  5. To control the access granted on the web we can use User Management feature on SARAL and CCDMS as well. In case of app-based access, we use App User Management on SARAL only.
  1. Web id is created with respect to a particular call center, whereas there are no such restrictions for providing app-based access.
  2. Access Types – There are 4 types of access which can be provided to the user as required in any formation:
a.) View – To View the data
b.) Create – To add the data
c.) Edit – To edit the existing data
d.) Delete – To delete the data
    • There are some other special accesses as well, for example to move, qc and multi-delete the data which is available only on web portal.
    • The above-mentioned accesses are for not only for data but for Shakti Kendra metadata as well.

8. One limitation in providing web access is that if we grant access to create data on SARAL, it automatically provides edit and delete data as well.

SSO:

1) SSO lets us login to different portals and apps by using single login credentials. For example – we need not to login every time to our account to use all products of G-Suite.
2) While using SARAL as well, we need not to login again for accessing regular data entry of Sangathan, Elected Representative & Abhiyan, Primary Membership, Active Membership, etc.
3) One more useful update that can be done for this would be using SSO for CCDMS and SARAL as well.

Rule Based Access:

1) Rule Based Access lets us provide access to the users whose entry has been done at a particular designation where we want to provide access.
2) This type of access doesn’t provide access to the user, but to the specific designation. If we change that data, access will be granted to the edited user and automatically be revoked from the previous user.
3) This do helps us in keeping track of users having access to and keeps a process on the rules on which access are to be provided.
4) We can provide 4 types of access as mentioned earlier as well: View, Create, Edit and Delete.
5) In addition to these 4 types of access for the data, similar accesses can be provided for the metadata creation of Shakti Kendra as well.
6) Also, this functionality can be used only in app models, not on web ids.
7) Special access of multi delete, move, etc. can’t be provided on this model.
8) PFB the rules for access in Bihar for reference:
